Suits Land Rover Discovery 1 (1994 to 1998), Defender (1994 to 1998) and Range Rover Classic (1994 only soft dash), all fitted with 300Tdi 2.5L 4 cyl turbo diesel engine
During installation it is essential that the oil jet that lubricates the cam follower is operating correctly
Check it is in the correct position and that it is not blocked
For Defender application you must also replace the booster to validate warranty as the Defender boosters often have a hairline crack which can introduce contaminants into the vacuum system
It is also essential that the brake booster and hoses are checked for leaks when fitting to Discovery or Range Rover Classic vehicles, but not required to change for warranty
Leaks in the booster are a common reason why the vacuum pump fails
