How to find the right part suitable for your specific Holden Rodeo
Engine
The engine splits this range more than the year does, so match it first. Parts suitable for Holden Rodeo with the 2.5 and 2.8 litre four-cylinder diesels differ from those suitable for Holden Rodeo with the 4JH1 3.0 litre, which took over at the end of 2001, and differ again from those suitable for Rodeo RA with the 4JJ1 3.0 litre common rail diesel that saw out the run. On the petrol side, parts suitable for Holden Rodeo with the 2.4 litre four-cylinder differ from those suitable for the 3.2, 3.5 and 3.6 litre V6 engines. Filters, belts, hoses and cooling parts all follow the engine, so work from the code on yours.
Two or four-wheel drive
The same ute was sold in both, and the front end is where they part company. Wheel bearing, shackle and front suspension listings separate the two-wheel drive utes from the 4WD, so know which one you have before ordering anything ahead of the rear axle.
Front hubs and axles
Drive shafts suitable for Holden Rodeo TF come in shift-on-the-fly and non-shift-on-the-fly versions, and on the non-shift utes the left and right shafts are not the same part. Free wheeling hubs across much of the range are the 6 bolt, 17 spline type, and a listing will say whether it covers a pair or a single hub.
Model updates
