The 79 Series dual cab seats five, but rolls off the line with no factory child-restraint anchor points. We supply and fit the Multidrive Technology dual-cab anchor bracket, a fully ADR-compliant, engineer-verified kit, so you can safely and legally fit a child seat in the back of your VDJ79.
Fit a child seat in the back of a 79 Series, properly and legally
The 79 Series dual cab (VDJ79) is a five-seat ute, but it doesn’t come with child-restraint anchor points from the factory. Without a compliant anchor, there’s nowhere to safely and legally secure a child seat in the rear.
We solve it with the Multidrive Technology (MDT) dual-cab child restraint anchor bracket. It’s a powder-coated steel bracket with three restraint points that mounts to the rear support pillar, and it’s fully ADR compliant and tested, independently verified by a third-party engineer to ADR 34/03. We supply the kit and fit it in-house at Kotara.
This is part of our wider 4WD accessory fitting, so we can take care of it alongside a bar, a canopy, drawers or any other work on your 79 Series while it’s with us.

Three anchor points
The powder-coated steel bracket adds three restraint points across the rear, so you can secure child seats where the factory left nothing to anchor to.
ADR 34/03 compliant
The kit is fully ADR compliant and tested, and has been independently verified by a third-party engineer to ADR 34/03, the standard for child-restraint anchorages.
Fitted to the pillar
The bracket mounts to the rear support pillar of the dual cab, fitted in-house by technicians who know the VDJ70/79 platform inside out.

By law, all child seats sold and used in Australia must meet AS/NZS 1754, and the anchorage accessory itself is made to AS/NZS 8005. The MDT bracket and our fitting are built around these standards, so your child seat is anchored to a point that’s designed, tested and certified for the job, not a makeshift fix.
