Cylinder Head w Install Kit suitable for 300Tdi Discovery Defender Range Rover Classic
300Tdi Cylinder Head & Installation Kit suit Range Rover Classic, Discovery 1 and Defender.
This kit includes a quality alloy head with pre-installed valves and springs, VRS Kit, no hole (1.6mm) head gasket and original equipment head bolts.
We can source an original equipment AMC head at additional cost.
There are four thickness head gaskets available for this engine.
To identify which gasket is currently fitted you need to inspect the head gasket tab poking out from between the head and block, just behind the third head bolt from the front on the drivers side.
This tab will either have 1, 2, 3 or no holes punched in it.
1 hole being the thinnest then increasing with 2, 3 and 0 holes being the thickest.
While this kit comes with a no hole composite gasket (which will suit most situations), we can supply any 300Tdi head gasket you want in either composite or multishim (laminated).
If you cannot identify the current thickness, you will need to measure the distance the piston protrudes above the bare engine block and call us to ensure you get the correct thickness head gasket.
