Transfer Case Sleeved Casing Steel Bush suitable for Defender Discovery Range Rover Classic LT230
This is a new quality Aftermarket branded Transfer Case Sleeved Casing Steel Bush.
This is a Modified Bush which requires machining, to be able to fit to your Transfer Case.
Suitable for:
- Range Rover Classic, fitted with the LT230 transfer case built from 1984 onwards.
- Land Rover County 110, fitted with the LT230 transfer case, built from 1984 to 1986 runout.
- Land Rover 90, 110, 130 and Defender, L315, built from 1987 to 2006 runout.
- Land Rover Defender Puma, 90, 110, 130, L316, built from 2007 to 2016 runout.
- Land Rover Discovery 1, L318, built from 1989 to 1998 runout.
- Land Rover Discovery 2, L318, built from 1999 to 2004 runout.
If you wish to purchase this part, your original LT230 Transfer Case will require modification, by machining an oversized hole on the correct centre, on the lathe, and pressing this steel bush into the housing.
The hole that supports the head of the intermediate pin in the LT230 Casing is prone to wearing, and the pin elongates the hole so that it is no longer round anymore. This can lead to a Transfer Case whine, and an oil leak.
This will now have a longer life than the original housing, as the pin is now supported in the steel bush.
NOTE: We can rebuild your Transfer Case in house if required.
If you would like to sleeve your own casing, we would suggest an interference fit of 0.02mm and also use ‘Bearing Fit’ or similar.

- Warranty is void if parts have been tampered with, modified or dismantled.
- Goods cannot be returned if they have been specially ordered or vehicle cut section.
- Goods not required must be returned within 14 Days of invoice date at purchaser’s expense. Goods will be accepted only at the Management’s discretion. If accepted for return, such goods will be subject to a 15% handling charge.
- Good will not be accepted for return if they have been fitted, unless proven faulty.
- Warranty is void for components used in performance / modified vehicles or parts / competition / off road / race applications.
